After finally getting round to a spot of filing (Susi can never be bothered to do her own), I suggested combining a shopping trip with a journey out to our local VW dealership. We've had a slow puncture on the right rear tyre and this I assumed would be covered under the Tyre Guarantee scheme we bought into when we got the tyres, right ( Read more... ) -

An exciting weekend: asked to help set up the mother-in-law's new computer - installed with Vista, so that was a first taste of the way things are going. The "basic" version doesn't seem massively different from previous Windows versions - still comprehensible, which is what I'd been worried about ( Read more... ) -

I'm not altogether sure how long this journal will continue. There has been very little evidence of outside interest so far, perhaps because this site is based in the US? Perhaps it is because I'm too dull? I don't know. I reckon part of the reason so few people write letters/e-mails these days is because they think their lives are too dull to be ( Read more... ) -
Second thoughts
When I was at school, we were always taught that we should consider there are always two side to an argument and you should always consider both sides before arriving at a conclusion. The truth will out
It's starting to come out now: Potsdam and Brandenburg's best known newspaper is now making clear that the replacement for the Stadtschloss, the new state parliament building will be functional and modern rather than the baroque style of the original building ( Read more... ) -
