The gratitude post

Dec 12, 2009 01:10

With everything that's been going on, I want to make this gratitude post. I'm being tested at work and in so many areas in my life but I still feel blessed and I appreciate each and every wonderful thing that comes my way.

For example, we had Rekindled.

Organizers, volunteers and participants of the B1G 5 Singles retreat met again for a B1G 5 reunion. Had a great time with the games, message and praise & worship. Nice to see everyone again, especially my breakout group.

Next, early Christmas presents! ^_^

Snickers Believe! Thanks to my team lead, Tin :) I was on the verge of grumbling that day but this choc bar did the trick ^_^

Christian devotional books from Sir Wilson of the BSK ministry and Vicky, my breakout leader at the B1G 5 retreat. As a baby Christian, I need all the help I can get so these books are major major helpful :).

The Stabuck 2010 planner! YAY! I know a lot of people are saying crap about how Starbucks is just profiteering with this promo and all, so I chose not to listen and drink as much Peppermint Mocha as I can. Special thanks to the Huangs who helped out! MWAH! Who's card is next???

I got the espresso planner, which I love because it's the by-product of the coffee beans and grounds :)

And lastly...

My very first special award from work ^_^ !!! I was surprised and amused to say the least.

We were sent an invite by the MDC lead for a roundtable discussion. Thinking it was a regular roundtable, I accepted the invite and brought a notebook and pen to take notes. Lo and behold, when I got there, the emcee said that the real reason why we were there is because the ManCom wanted to recognize our efforts for going beyond what was expected of us during and after the Ondoy tragedy. I was floored.

I don't know who nominated me but all I could remember was that during the Ondoy onslaught, the entire area around the village were submerged in water and no public transport can take us out to the roads going to work. I had to ride a garbage truck, sans the garbage thankfully, to go out of the village and go to work. I didn't make anything out of it then and I went on with my life. I didn't expect this at all. Thank you!!! I give back the honor and glory to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ because He made this all happen ^_^.

Christmas came early for me, so thank you very much. I am truly touched.
