Oh, I do love this one! And the ending is just perfect imo... it leaves you with that bittersweet taste in your mouth that is both amazing and heartbreaking... much like any love story should be, in my masochistic mind. Also, leaves room for a sequel... but again, it might spoil the beauty of this piece. Still though, the fangirl in me always wants sequels xD

I'm inclined to agree that this story works best sequel-less, even though my own fangirl side didn't have the heart to come right out and crush all hopes of happiness.

I AM a monster. I'm sorry, Rachel Berry! But after all that I put her through in this story, I sure as hell don't blame her.

But yeah, my personal opinion is that I don't think Rachel is capable of not being in love with Quinn (in this story, at least). She's doomed that way.

I love this.

I dont want Rachel to go back to her lol At least, not without a LOT of effort on Quinn's part. But even then, I like how it ended, for me it ended happy because I mainly sympathized with Rachel and the happy part is that Rachel leaves stronger.

If you continued this it would have to be epic lol Because there is no way I'd believe that Rachel would still love her after that. The way Rach responded showed she'd moved on hehehe I love it! It's awesome as a stand alone.

Well, we both know how dark and twisty you are. ;)

I left the story as it was because I struggled to think of how much epic effort Quinn would have to put in to make up for 18 years of infidelity. Still, hope springs eternal and all that.

You're right. This story doesn't deserve a outright happy ending. The way you ended it was perfect.

My interpretation is that Quinn doesn't deserve her.

I loved Lily's reactions. Because kids KNOW. This was excellent. It left me achy, but it's excelletn.

Quinn DOESN'T deserve her. But if I was Rachel and Quinn dressed up like she did in that icon, I'd probably go, "Yeah, BUT..." (I. Am. Shallow.)

You know, no matter how many times I read an angsty fic, I'll be like:
"Aww, that was kinda sad." and then I'll just exit out of the window and be done with it.
This was the first fic to make me cry. :( I hope you're happy.

P.S. I secretly loved it. In a horrible, heart-breaking kind of way.
