it's good as is. don't add any more. /my opinion.

it almost loses that bittersweet nature of it at the end and i think that holds a lot of weight for the story.

the heartbreak is amazing here and i really like that it spans Lily's life instead of just years counted. it makes it personal; it makes it mean more when there's this whole other person accounted for and quinn keeps going with her infidelities and rachel keeps letting her.

baasically, a favorite of mine.

I've read all the eloquent comments... this is not going to be one of those...
because I'm incapable of writing eloquent comments, and it's way too early in the morning for that anyway.
I knew it was going to be angsty, and probably not what one wants to read first thing in the morning, but it was beautiful, extremely well written, and completely heart-breaking.

you have officially given me my first Rachel/Quinn story that I actually like..whats funny is that its of them NOT being good together lol

This is a great stand alone and believe I never say that because I'm always greedy for more fandom but this is prefect on its own.

I don't think Rachel would go back to Quinn because if she still loved Quinn then Rachel's answer when Lily was 16 would have been "...yes"

So screw you Quinn Fabray :D I can't wait to read more of your fandom.

its sad but I think it's fitting, how you wrote it. and I think you are right, that Rachel shouldn't take her back. You left it open. and I would like to think in a few years (in my head) they maybe gravitated back towards each other. But that's the beauty of leaving it open the way you did :)
