I had it out with a co-worker today who was being selfish and immature. I made her storm back to the office. Fortunately she calmed down enough to talk about it, and we came to a peacable conclusion, but she still tried to talk down to me and patronize me.

I've got her scared for her job (even though I'm getting promoted above her, and no one is about to fire her).

Stupid, insecure, self-righteous people suck.

Yeah. I've done a lot of reading on group dynamics, consequently.
I'm kind of torn... seems that confrontational behavior is generalaly less preferable than amicable assertiveness. But in some cases, I think people just don't get it unless you beat the shit out of them.
But then they have a point when they say you're unprofessional and mean.
