Hahah, been a long time since I saw that movie. I guess great minds ("great" being myself and overpaid Hollywood writers) think alike.

By the way, I think a sociological map of the interaction between Lost characters is probably the sexiest thing ever done with modern media.

I think that in order to do this, you'd have to reduce the magnetic repulsion. I'm not sure if that's possible, but if it were, I'd think it would change the atom's essence, not just its size, which would make shrinking things impossible without ultimately changing them entirely.

However, I haven't taken any physics, so I wouldn't take my word on it ;)
