Standard lunch run went well, with the exception of the dead rat I saw in the river. Aside from that, though, I'd say the route is pretty scenic. :-) Definitely pretty warm, and even though I wore sunscreen I can tell my arms got darker. I wore a visor, so my face didn't get too much sun.

Mariah recently ran over a dead squirrel on her bike. She just didn't see it till it was too late...then she cried about it for a while. And I recently almost stepped right on a dead headless squirrel. So, it could have been worse.

She really takes things to heart and was quite upset for some time.

I can imagine; that would freak *me* out, and I'm 27!
The headless squirrel is really just gross, though. I think I should have perhaps posted some "I'm about to eat lunch, don't gross me out" caveat. :-)
