Another semester winds down to an end here at EKU. The woman I've thought of as my grandma for the last 17 years died yesterday at 12:20 PM. She was no relation really, but she was almost my grandmother-in-law at one time. Thelma Jane Hill was 94 years old, had fought Alzheimer's for the last 15 years and had suffered a couple of strokes, a broken hip and heart problems. I got to spend Thanksgiving ( Read more... )

Those friends I mentioned in my last entry--the ones who were waiting for biopsy results--both do have cancer. My friend Angie has ovarian cancer, and my friend Betty Jane has lung cancer. Both are due for surgery this January. Both are advanced. Please pray for them, if you do, if you can.
