Despite overtime, despite having to help Godot with his studies, and despite a meriad of other small but distracting events, I was able to complete ground school and pass the FAA written test for private pilots.

On with the FLYING!!!

(Soon as the temperature gets down below a hundred again.)

Right now I'm trapped between ground school, helping Godot with his reading and overtime at the big aircraft company.

Not a lot of free time.

Hope to resume flying in the fall, when it cools down a little.

Big test tomorrow, wish me luck!

My seventh lesson was back on Tuesday evening of this week. It was a lovely evening as I preflighted the airplane. Lovely that is, till I check the fuel tanks. I dropped the dip stick into the tank and pulled it out again. 2 gallons!! That's barely enough fuel for us to get airborne and back down on the runway.. I checked it again, banging ( Read more... )
