Windows XP on my laptop destroyed itself on Monday. After trying to recover any data I might have collected on that partition, I just reinstalled...if the root cause is hardware, then it might not last long. It seems pretty stable thus far. So, since my last update: I found an apartment in Davie Circle, a pretty pleasant neighborhood about a twenty minute walk away from campus. It's very leafy; one of the houses next to me apparently got their property declared a 'backyard habitat' by the city, so it's overgrown and full of brush. Summer school is infinitely better than regular session. There are fewer people on campus, lessons are more focused and smaller, and most of my friends are taking classes too.
