Portal comes with my highest recommendation. What a fantastic game. The concepts are very simple and puzzle-oriented, which allows the scripting to shine. I saw the Nutcracker with Maria on Saturday evening. There were lots of children dressed up as truffles! And all the mice were furry, with tails that must have created some problems for proper ballet. My journal turned six years old a few days ago! There have been a few dry spells over that time, but overall I've been consistent with entries. No reason to stop now.

I've adapted pretty well to stateside living, but all the same, I'm listening to online radio out of Berlin at the moment and hearing it makes me feel at home.

There is a chipmunk infestation just outside my dorm. I walked out towards the classrooms this morning and saw a little chipmunk being chased down by its parent, then a few more scampered around behind the bushes. There must be a nest of the critters right by the door.

I guess I'll post these here too, just for good measure. I went out to Raleigh yesterday for an epic eight-hour practice session with Expire. We're getting pretty good.

Tonight was nothing short of amazing. We (meaning David, Brian, Amy, Sweeney, Paul and me) got to Raleigh at 5 o'clock. The first three people listed up there and I went to get dinner at a Mexican restaurant, then stood in line until the 7pm opening.
