IPL kickstarted with a gala opening. Useless debates raged on television on the semi-clad cheer leaders and the mixed teams. Was this the end of cricket? Who cares! I loved the format and concept and chose to support Deccan Chargers. Of course, once a Hyderabadi, always a Hyderabadi.

They fought well against Kolkata as well as against Rajasthan. There are still 11 matches to go .......

Prats, we are, and will always be the Deccan Chargers. I would like another name like Deccan Chargers Without Laxman (DCWL) going forward.
Still 11 matches to go... We have Mumbai for company at the bottom of the dump. It's never lonely at the bottom.
Whatever happens, I will always be a DC fan.

We (read Teemus and I did). The re-christening thing happened long before the match (if you notice the date it was posted!) And yes, they redeemed themselves in this match. Each and every over was worth watching, especially the massacare by Gilchrist. *sigh* totally loved it!
