I know he wasn't able to get Medicaid last year, but the hospital may be able to hook you up with some other resources. It's in their best interests to get the bill paid by *somebody*, so they should hopefully be fairly motivated in this regard.

Yeah, we were looking at that before we even left yesterday. :) I'm hoping that they will get a social worker or something in there to talk to him.

They're set on keeping him for three days at this point.

I'm exhausted this morning, and today is Ringo's doctor day and my babysitting afternoon. ^^;

I'm not sure how it is in your state, but here, they would basically be signing him up for Medicaid/Care right away. Not free, but a significantly reduced end cost.

He tried applying for Medicaid/Care late last year, and they refused him outright. Virginia can be extremely stingy with healthcare assistance. Perhaps it will go differently this time around.
