I'm really getting sick of most of my extended family. I am tired of all of the marriage questions I encounter on a daily basis. I had a Sweet 16 birthday party last night and a baby shower today, as well as a venture out to see my friend's band along the way. when they ask, tell them that you've discussed it and have no intention of ever getting married. they'll stop asking right quick. of course, don't say this in front of him. that would be silly.

I agree with Jen... Just tell them that you don't want to get married and, better yet, that since the two of you aren't having kids, it really doesn't matter. That will REALLY get them going because it doesn't stop with the engagement question... you'll get engaged and then, before the wedding, they'll be asking why you aren't pregnant yet... this way, you get both of the issues done so when you do get married and have a family, it will be a nice surprise.

In all seriousness though, I understand completly. I know it's annoying, but it's only temporary, and they will ALWAYS be asking about something. One step at a time... don't let them get to you, and take it from me... don't let them rush you guys. This is your decision, not theirs and you'll get there when you're ready. :)
