Nussbaum is so fucking smart that she has to say things really intricately and then repeat them in simpler terms for the rest of us to follow. Once you digest her first sentence, she layers on a second one that is harder to follow. Yipes! Once I tried to read one of her books to supplement a Burke paper -- it was not going to happen!
