trust me, I feel your pain (or the inverse of it, at least)

they did that for our musical, too...

so we got a bunch of people with absolutely 0 talent for acting (and a couple who didn't have much talent for singing, either).
The singing bit is nothing without the acting.
The acting can be perfectly fine without the singing.

I wish people could understand this... *sigh*
