Advice?

So we got back from Firefly late last night and this afternoon, B found a tick on me (despite having showered in the interim, which we both find confusing).

I had about a dozen dog ticks as a kid and never done anything about them beyond removing them and had no ill effects.

usually if you remove them within 24-48 hrs of initial bite, you should be fine. if you're worried, save the tick for testing and get preventative antibiotics from your doc.

Dog ticks are no big deal. Keep an eye on the site but otherwise, you're probably good.

This...if its a big dog tick it isn't carrying lyme.

I was a camp counselor for a few summers. My personal best was 8 simultaneous ticks. Nothing ever came of it. Ticks are creepy but not that harmful if found quickly

Concurring with the others. Deer ticks are like little red dots on your skin, almost freckles. Dog ticks are the ones with a satisfying squish to them.
