It's blissfully dry outside at the moment, though the meteorologists are claiming the storm is turning around and coming back, so who knows? Argh.

I'm a dork. I'm looking at these pics, and my brain goes, "Not going anywhere for a while? Snickers satisfies!"

My second thought was of all the cats on the island being HORRIBLY unamused by both the weather and the noise of sandbagging.

"Water everywhere! GAHHHHHHHH!!!"

One kitteh was hiding in a closet and the other kitteh was just two huge eyes staring out from under the desk in my parents room. Once it dried out a bit, they bolted for the outdoors and got in a few hours of chasing squirrels and pooping in dirt and now they're back in for the night. *grin*

I ate like crap for the duration, solely because it was easier. Oh, and the "don't wash dishes, laundry or yourself with the water" alert. So... canned food or things that came in wrappers.

I've heard about this! They had an alligator walking down the street in Barefoot Bay, after the tornado! I'll be sure to keep an eye out - I got bit by a spider this morning and that was annoying enough!
