Help

Sep 29, 2004 13:04

This post goes out as a plea for help from anyone who can.

My parents are throwing me out of the house. I have 2 weeks (roughly about when PFDs come out) to find a new place to live.

I am going to be searching as hard as I possibly can, but any help in finding either a new place or a good paying job would be a godsend.

Thank you all

damn, that sucks. I can't help you much with a place to live, but where have you applied? there's always fred meyers, costco, carrs, wal mart, and fast food, ya know. especially if you're in a bind. Apply to at least five places a day. Have a resume. it helps. Go to the job center on Eagle Street, they will help you and give you free recourses with which to search/apply to jobs.

why are they kicking you out with such short notice?

resources, not recourses.

Well, I did just score a job at Lowe's (you can apply online). I'm getting $9 an hour, and since you'd have more time to work than me (ie: no school to deal with), I bet you could fit in there with full-time work.

As far as apartments go, here's a listing of apartments in the Anchorage area that are kind of cheap as far as rent.

Gosh, I'm really sorry that there isn't anything I can offer you... I mean, if you get desparate enough, you could sleep in our garage (which is heated) or something. Let me know if there is anything I can do. *hugs*

I'm sorry that there's nothing I can do as I'm in Seattle. But I really hope you figure things out. *hughug*

Well, I can't say for sure as to whether my Mom would mind or not, but you might be able to crash in the guest bedroom for a week or two, if you can't find a place.

Remind me, and I'll ask her about it.

Also, sorry I didn't return your call tonight: I was on the phone with Erin when you called, and I totally spaced calling you back until I left Dr. John's at about 1, so I wasn't sure about calling the house that late...
