I left Norway. I'm staying in Derry, Northern Ireland now. I'll be here for a month, and I'm coming back to Anchorage February 2nd. I'm studying The Troubles, specifically the peace process and mediation/community building efforts since they ended. I'll talk more about it later.

I feel like I've said nothing since I got to Norway, so I thought I'd do this thingy and at least post something about Norway. Short version is: I got to travel around Norway, I visited Dublin for a week, and I've been fortunate in meeting a handful of good friends. It seems mental problems and bureaucratic bullshit follows you across the ocean.

I only like to post on here when something important happens, and it seems clear that the only important things that happen to me are moving from one part of the country/world to another. I also got accepted to the January trip to Northern Ireland. I'm going to put the deposit down next week before I leave. So the plan is to be out of the country from mid-August until February.

I got accepted for the Norway study away program. I'm getting my passport squared away and trying to figure out the money, but I should be overseas from mid-August to December.

I put my application in to study in Norway this fall. All I've got to do is print out my recommendation from Paulette Monday morning to bring in. And get a passport. And figure out money for next year. But I finally got my essay finished with help from one of my professors.
