I put my application in to study in Norway this fall. All I've got to do is print out my recommendation from Paulette Monday morning to bring in. And get a passport. And figure out money for next year. But I finally got my essay finished with help from one of my professors. I really hope that I get to go to, this is pretty much why I decided to go ( Read more... )

Norway is big on democracy and common good. I'm also interested in mediation and international peace, and Norway is pretty much the world capital for both. I'd be there from August to December, studying world democracy and governmental representation, peace journalism, and international mediation. I'd also get the chance for a 40-hour work study with one of a few different organizations over there.

Thanks for the heads up. I think that'll be my next project, looking for scholarships.

How's India going? I got the skype, but I feel like we haven't gotten the chance to talk on there yet.

India's going pretty well, all told. Still working through some financial issues, but I got my chin up and smiling. You can read more at www.surajmukhiya.wordpress.com and check out photos at http://s1184.photobucket.com/albums/z330/saerahanlon/Surajmukhiya/ (or just google surajmukhia photobucket)

I'm glad you got skype. Us not getting to talk on it much are due greatly to time differences and the small internet window I have, usually from 2-6 Indian time. Hope to catch you on soon. If I don't, emails and little notes are always accepted and appreciated. <3

Sweeeeet. Norway is pretty awesome from what I hear. I should go someday; I have extended family there. Maybe we can come visit you or something. XD Get on the passport ASAP, they are a pain in the ass. Anyway, good luck, though I doubt you'll need it. ;)

It'd be interesting if you came to visit while I was over there. I imagine that the trip would be crazy-money though.

Thanks for the heads up on the passport. I had a passport before, so I think it'll be a little easier to get one, but I still want to get the process started this week. I think between now and August is pretty realistic.
