Waking up this morning knowing the Apparition ban was going into effect wasn't a big deal. It gave me a reason to pull out my broom and fly into work. Moody of course spent easily ten minutes then berating me for my lack of vigilence in flying to work, which according to him is one of the least secure modes of travel. Three days down. This is the longest week I think of my entire life. I thought OWLs were bad. I thought NEWTs were bad. None of those periods of torture compare to Certification Testing. Not much to say. I saw Em and Fabbity off to Hogwarts at the train station. I had to take the morning off which just meant I had to do about seven times as much work when I finally did get into the office. Happy Birthday Fabian.

The little bastard likes worship and tokens of affection, namely presents. His preferred confection is chocolate, particuarly liquor filled chocolates. And since he is now 17, he also enjoys whiskey and scotch; the older the better.

The NEWTs didn't matter except in that it was the final piece I needed to be accepted as an Auror for the Ministry. Today was the first day for the 'new recruits'. So Meadowes can’t stay with Podmore any longer so we need to find a flat this weekend. I guess Bones has a place next door to his flat. It’s a muggle place. I’m not convinced we should take it because Bones is a fucking arse but at least a muggle place is least likely to have queer things like singing staircases and sentient molds in the sink.
