I know, it's bad. I even do it to television commercials.
I just figure, they spent $150 million to make this thing, just move the giant drill a few miles inland. It's just a giant miss and, along with the lens flares, immediately made me give up on the movie. It's kind of like, "Eh, we're giving them what they want, no one will notice these massive errors."
