You have experience with dragons? I never saw any, and certainly no "dinosaurs", so I found them kind of interesting - but I was wary nonetheless.

A bit more than I'd like, unfortunately, since I was nearly eaten by one. But it's good that you were careful unlike some others, at least.

Oh, Gods! I knew they weren't just huge cuddly pets! Well, good that it was only nearly that you were eaten by it.

I got to see them along with my roommate, though. They did look fascinating.

Pets? Goodness, who gave you the idea that a dragon was a pet?

I know someone who went to take videos of them, so I saw them, too, but I still think he's rather foolish for doing it.

No one did. Only, with the reckless way some were acting yesterday... then, others also seemed to think them a good meal.

As long as he was careful... ?

...How very, very odd. Well, I'm not sure what sort of dragons people have in other worlds, but where I come from, the last thing you want is to be close to one. Or anywhere near it, for that matter.

He seems to have emerged unscathed, at least.

Really? Where I'm from, they can be gods or spiritual protectors.

That's good! Then he now has... well, videos are a permanent record, right?

Dragons...as gods? What about the usual ones--Thor and Neptune and those?

I think so. They're rather like pen and paper, but with moving pictures; so long as you have the recording itself, you'll always have whatever knowledge you put on it.

I've never heard of those. I know of ryūjin and the azure dragon of the east.

Ah, right. The communicators do that sometimes, too, don't they?

Ryu...jin? And I don't believe I've ever known an azure dragon. Only green ones.

Sometimes, yes. There's a button to press, I think, and then you hold it up towards whatever it is you wish to record.

Well, ah... dragons are usually associated with water where I'm from. So blue would be the color. yes?

So many buttons! I never use most of them. They still confuse me.

Oh, I suppose that would make sense. Green dragons for land, blue dragons for the water...I never thought of it like that. I thought they were all just green.

Mine has a sort of blunted pen, so I can write notes and messages on the little screen with it. Does yours have something like that, as well?

It seems the kinds of dragons we know are very different. And then there is that I have never seen one, nor would I ever have thought to see one.

Ah... really? I guess I'll have to look for that.

If you've known them as protectors, then they certainly are. They can make good guards, yes, but they can also be terribly destructive, where I come from.

I've found it to be quite handy. It's like writing with pen and paper, sort of. And then the machine makes them into messages for you.

They can be destructive when angered, as can most gods and spirits. And then, they're said to be terrible. But I don't know how much of all of this is actually true - I'm not that much of a religious person, I guess.

I'll try that, definitely! It sounds a lot more practical than these clunky buttons.

Well, they either are or they aren't, aren't they? If they're real, then they're real, regardless of what you believe about them.

I do hope it works out for you!
