These sparkles and drawings are atrocious. I'm getting a migraine just by looking at them.

The persons responsible for this childish mess should be punished instead of rewarded. Vandalism is a crime; it shouldn't be encouraged.

[Don't you even like the Jules fanart? '^']

It isn't that bad, is it? And it can't be seen from the dungeon.

Vandalizing the castle can be considered rude as well.

It's not vandalism! Professor Dumbledore said it was art!

...Of course he did.

[Not sarcasm. More of "our headmaster kinda fails".]

Boo freakin' hoo.
Seeing as how it'll wash right off I'd hardly think of it as vandalism.

Tell me, if a person assaulted someone but the damage could be considered minor--should it be ignored?

No. A crime is still a crime.

its_cor_aline November 13 2010, 13:22:34 UTC
...are you seriously trying to compare chalk drawings to assault? That's kind of a far reach there.

A bad action is a bad action, and those can escalate. If we allow people to get away with committing a crime, they'll assume authority is malleable and they'll end up finding loopholes.

To judge by some of the reactions, they're certainly fortunate that we are not a democracy.

Have you tried sunglasses?
