I ... actually think about that show sometimes too. Watching those old episodes again though, kind of painful.

Excellent cartoon! I'm with you there...although Firefly still gets my vote, I had to comment on your awesomeness for loving Ren and crew!

But I can say with some belief that Firefly while cut short was a good show and could stand alone. It's work can stand the test of time because even though it hadn't finished, our imagination and Serenity gave us some closure.

With Pirates of Dark Water Ren had found the living treasure of Rule, that stupid animal. Then it was done. That was it. It was a story that was very easy to measure: it would end with Ren getting all 13 Treasures of Rule. Or it would end with him failing.

It just ended. That's why I picked the Pirates of Dark Water over Firefly and another show I loved: Space: Above and Beyond.

I can understand that. It's been so long since I've seen PODW that I didn't remember how it ended...only that I liked the show and it seems like most have forgotten it. With what you're saying, I can totally see your point.

Pirates of Dark Water, he needed to get the 13 Treasures of Rule.

I think he got 8. And then the show ended.

Pirates of Dark Water was awesome. I haven't seen it in years.

I too voted Firefly, though.
