Yay for new computers! And new school supplies in general! Good luck with all the school stuff... I am certain that you'll do well and I hope that it'll be awesome! I will use some more exclamation points now! !!! ;)
Hehe... I had the same thoughts you mentioned about quality and price as soon as you mentioned Paul. Yay for marriage being useful as well as happy! :)
Going back to school (if you're interested in what you're studying, and in your 20s, at least) is easier than you'd think. I was out of practice for almost 5 years (or more than that, if you consider that I never went to class freshman year), and didn't have much trouble. I think the key is finding something you actually enjoy learning about.
Which backpack? I got the L.L. Bean Deluxe (I think) back in 8th grade, and still use it. Its color, spruce, was discontinued a year or two after I got it. Haha, suckas - it's a collector's item now! If only I could find someone with the same initials as mine, willing to shell out big bucks for a beaten up bag with one zipper that never works and one zipper that sometimes works. :)
I'm getting the Super Shockwave Bookpack. It's the only one they carry that has a laptop sleeve in it. I tried looking around at other brands that had one that might be cheaper, but none were significantly cheaper and I don't think I've ever owned a non- Bean backpack, so I have no idea what the quality is like in other brands. Oh well, it's not so bad to buy an expensive backpack if it protects the more expensive computer well.
And I have to take the computer to class, too. My classes are three hours long and I have arthritis in my hands, I cannot physically take notes by hand for that long. Which sucks. But it will be so nice to have my computer at school and not have to wait in line in the library just to check my e-mail. Like in undergrad. So annoying.
I'm not too worried about school. A lot of people do my program while working full time, so if I can't do it not working at all, I probably should try something else. It will be fine. Now that it's almost time to start, I'm looking forward to it.
