 I'm kind of in a Debbie Downer mood today. The life of a survivor is difficult enough, but when you work for a cancer organization and you are surrounded by death, sickness and annoying unrealistic optimism all day it gets a little tiring. Its weird because after a while you have to accept that you can't help everyone. You do what you can for who you can, which alienates people but you can't kill yourself for these people. You get jaded after a while, no one is supposed to see death this much.

I've made the best friends through this org, but I also know that our lives are very fragile and I hate having to keep some people at an arms length away because of that.

You are awesome, seriously. I truly admire what you do, and although it's tough I think you are handling things very well. Don't ever lose faith. :-)
