So there was a blog article circulating at work, which had an unfortunate spelling error I discovered, talking about how we need to redesign one of the lug nuts on our combustor case. This led to a fun discussion about how the engine has "cumbustor" problems due to faulty nuts.

This is what I get for working with all men. :)

Dear God,

There are more important things I'm praying for, as you know, but please please please reconsider this weather. I cannot spend 8+ hours outside, trying to enjoy a Notre Dame weekend, with my mother, with temperatures in the 50s and rain. Please.

The best parts of my day:

Not having to book a room in St. Louis for Thursday night as expected.
The 8 year old next door told me she likes my lunch box when I was getting out of the car.

The worst parts:

My boss in severe freakout mode.
Eternal work for the next two weeks.

Gah.

Things I learned calling Grandma today:

Sauerkraut juice is better than any of those expensive laxatives out there.

That Jon and Kate and 10...6...lots of kids looks like they might be having problems.

All babies require homemade afghans.

My fortune cookie said I would be showered with good luck, which is helpful, because I've managed to contract both pink eye and what the doctor called "minor tonsillitus" Awesome. Hopefully the bag o drugs he prescribed kick in so my weekend isn't a complete loss ( Read more... )
