I like the term "horcruxectomy." Also, despite what JKR said, I agree that Luna/Neville is a fantastic pairing. (I mean, DH directly contradicted what she said on her site about the Fidelius Charm, so maybe this is just a second example of the site being incorrect.)

...but I think a Dementor's Kiss would have been a WAY better horcrux-removal device than Fiendfyre. Come on, give us something established in canon! That was so unexpectedly hamfisted.

It is a nifty idea, but what exactly happens to a soul when it's sucked out by a Dementor? I know that Lupin said it was gone forever, but I thought that he meant it was gone from that person forever, rather than necessarily destroyed. If that's true, then the soul-piece might exist in the Dementor, and you'd have to destroy it. Which would be pretty damn hard. (Of course, I could be completely mistaken.)
