Well back last week I hurt myself a bit on Monday as Parker (our pup) had a seizure and I, not thinking, scooped him up, put him in a car, and off to the vet we went. Well, heavy lifting is not adviseable for pregnant women and a disoriented 50 pound dog definitly consitutes heavy lifting. But, I really only seemed to hur my back and neck. ( Read more... )

Congratulations! Love the name. I'm sorry you got hurt, though. Is your dog okay? Is your back feeling better?

He's fine. It may be an isolated incident and it may not...we just have to wait and see. He was fine like 15 minutes later and couldn't figure out why mom was acting like a crazy lady! The back is feeling much better. My neck still hurts occassionally but overall I am feeling much better. The only pain I'm really having is from Hadley - she's very active - but I wouldn't trade that pain for anything!

That's wonderful news! I think the name is adorable. Are all the grandparents excited? Glad you're feeling a little better overall, and I hope the puppy is okay.

My mom is thrilled. Greg's father told me last night that he really wanted a boy but that "this will do" - so, apparently not much excitement there. This is only the latest in a series of inappropriate actions and remarks I have received from them lately and I must say my patience is wearing QUITE thin!
