Well back last week I hurt myself a bit on Monday as Parker (our pup) had a seizure and I, not thinking, scooped him up, put him in a car, and off to the vet we went. Well, heavy lifting is not adviseable for pregnant women and a disoriented 50 pound dog definitly consitutes heavy lifting. But, I really only seemed to hur my back and neck. ( Read more... ) -
News...
So for those who haven't heard...Greg and I will be having a baby in July of next year! We found out a couple of weeks ago but just got to see the baby and hear the heartbeat today! We are so excited. Right now I am mainly dealing with indigestion, hormones, and morning sickness - but it will totally be worth it when I get to hold my little one ( Read more... ) -
No more ladders...
Greg wanted me to let you all know that on Sunday his Dad and he were working in the yard on the trees when his dad fell off the ladder. He fell about 12 feet and had to be taken to the ER. He has 5 broken ribs, bruised lungs, a broken arm, and had to have his spleen removed due to bleeding (he is on blood thinners). He is currently pretty ( Read more... ) -
We're okay too...
We survived the storm as well. Greg was at work through the worst of it and the worst they had was some power flickers. Me, Parker, Maggie, and the foster pups all took shelter in the closet for quite a while as there were two different times that the white station area was in the list of places to take cover. Venting!!!
Okay, so I need to vent and no one will answer the phone. I found out last week that my little brother (20 years old) and his wife (17 years old) are having another baby - MJ is only 15 months old. Then today I found out that my brother (age 18) and his girlfriend (age 19) are having a baby! Seriously, did no one teach these kids about birth ( Read more... ) -

Update on Us
I've been reading everyone else's journals and decided that I should post. Things have been going well lately. We bought a house at the end of June. Most rooms have been painted and the decorating is going well. It is so nice to have a place that is yours. I started a new job this week, at the Department of Children's Services. The services for Greg's grandfather are going to be Tuesday (Feb. 28) at 11am at Memphis Funeral Home on Poplar. Visitation will be one hour before.
