For accomm, it seems like usually Waseda exchange students get to stay in the nicer hostels aka the hostels numbered six to nine eg 六号楼. So you can check with your uni if you accomm is there. If so, you won't have to worry about accomm anymore =) If not, we'll have to go ask the 楼长 for places. But from what I heard, they are usually quite nice to the Waseda students so you will probably not be sharing communal facilities like me.
I don't know what hostels we're getting. :( They didn't write the numbers and stuff. But they did say two to a room + 4 to a toilet. I want to live outside but they need a very valid reason that I can't think of. :(
To be honest, I have no idea whether I will be back this summer. I haven't decided if I want to go back for 2 weeks or just stay in Beijing, take a break and explore the place (plus welcome you and other Year 1s, meet Clara too if she's coming to visit us).
If the hostel is what I'm thinking, you may be able to upgrade it to 1 a room +2 to a toilet... Do update me with more details so I can help you with accomm if required =)
