1. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
Hmm...this is a hard one. 2008 was really a year of big changes for me (not that the previous years weren't) so I didn't take on any new things as much as struggle to tackle the things on my plate. I guess I hadn't done mu job before but many of the skills I already had.

That is very interesting... I had no idea that you perceived any failure in falling off the lesbian wagon.

not so much a failure I guess as a sense of loss. it was a huge part of my identity and it has really shifted how I see myself and how others see me. When you go from being very out to being in a straight relationship with a white male (as a white woman) you can see privilege in a very obvious way. Also, there are aspects of the lesbian community where I am now an outsider and i did lose a few friends over the whole transition (oddly enough it wasn't the lesbians - they have been the most accepting).
That said, I am happy with my decision and have no regrets.

on behalf of Toren - no to the VHS. Although my xmas present to him was a capture card for his computer so he can burn them to a hard drive before they degrade further.
