I think the rains have finally stopped in Austin. I broke down and bought an umbrella yesterday; this may be what has caused the rains to cease. Today was spent cramming as much information into our brains as was humanly possible. We started the day with a rather intense lecture on adhesives, but had to quit about half way through to break for an early lunch. Last night was the last time Fergal and I would overlap in Austin with a free evening. He's off to Greece-by-way-of-Ireland today, and won't be flying back until the 4th of July. This weekend is something of a 'the good, the bad, and the Bureaucracy'. I'm so emotionally worn out that I'm just sort of numb and exhausted. I need a couple of days to sort of just do work, go home, and crash, and not see people or worry. That would be nice, can I not worry for a while?

Parts of this weekend were really good. They were. ( Sunshine and friends and Texas is at it's best. )

Seeing everybody this past week was fantastic. It's amazing how much we've changed, and yet, it feels so natural to sit in Allison and Dan's house, drinking beer, trashing the love-life of videogame characters and discussing Thomas and Foz's jobs ( Read more... )
