I, like many of those I am somewhat acquainted with, have been sitting and waiting in anticipation for the announcement. It came today. Peter Capaldi will be the next Doctor. I am of two minds about this choice. Many are already complaining that he isn't young. Others are rejoicing that he's not young. The consensus seems to be that he is or is not

Why do people care whether their doctor is young or not? Also, it's nice that you have a new doctor, but are you sick? Why is he foreign? Is he a specialist? And what does that last part even mean?

I personally am very much looking forward to seeing the new doctor in action. He reminds me far more of the earlier doctors.

Can I assume we will be watching all of the new episodes together?

I am withholding my final judgement until I've seen him as well. I am merely pointing out that we have seen him before. I wonder how they will retcon this.
