Wow.. you are still alive! And so many beautiful children too! I might be interested in a little sophie and a little pete. Though I'm not sure I'd take care of them very well. What's their light requirement? I live in a very shaded house.

Will you be at frolicon?

Hope all is well!

Yes, I'm still kicking! As for a recommendation on a plant w/ a shaded house, I'd go with a little Pete as Philodendrons do not require a lot of light. Many grow under fluorescent light, and Pete has lived that way and survived. He's a pretty tough cookie and does not require a lot of watering, either.

stnuke and I will be a frolicon!!! I look forward to seeing you there!

Yay! I just brought home a hydrangea, for the front corner of the house. I absolutely despise the large "warehouse" store policies of letting the plants die, writing them off, and trash compacting them. Such a waste...
So, in this case, I got the healthiest (tho' dry) and largest I could. I miss having a horticulturist neighbor willng to part with cuttings of everything!
Hope to see you at Frolicon. I do miss having Wandering Jew and Nandina, maybe I'll try to get some cuttings?
Don't forget, we'll be getting our Easter freeze this weekend, I was going to transplant the suspiciously hemp-looking some-what's-its and the sunflowers this week, but I'll be post-poning that. My major goal this year is gourds and pumpkins. I'll be starting them indoors soon. Tonight, I picked up the 300-400 lb variety of pumpkin seeds *fingers x-ed* One or two of those in the front yard this fall would roxxer!

Oh, also, My Maggie, Adam's partner from Candyland, will be coming down this weekend. She says Hi! And hopes to have another opportunity to walk away with The Gold!

Yay!!! Tell Maggie hello from us! It's going to be great to see everyone this year.

And I am in much agreement with you on the large flower establishments. My favorite plants are gifts and cuttings. I don't like purchasing them unless absolutely necessary b/c then they don't have a story and connection to go with them :-)

Thank for the warning on the cold. I just noticed it on the weather.com this morning. I think I'll not water the seeds until I get back and hope that they do Ok inside by themselves this weekend. Stupid cold weather.

I would love to get cuttings of Pete and Sophie after I move at the end of the summer. Doozer likes to eat house plants, so I should wait till he moves to Florida with Hugh.
