STAGE 6: Scarlet Devil Castle - Clocktower

There is going to be a lot of precarious ascent!



There will be more of these bastards, in claustrophobically small areas!



There will be hard-to-approach archers!



But most importantly:

There will be spikes.



Weaseling past the archers, I'm ALREADY at critical health.

This party's just getting started!



Those spiked shelves slide in and out of the walls. Touching the spikes on the ends is nearly always fatal.



In terms of Castlevania subweapons, Reimu is the cross - she throws a Yin Yang out in a boomeraing path.



Found some spaghetti and not a moment too soon - I'd be dead now if I hadn't.



Orbing my way through legions of axe dolls!



HELL YEAH STEAK

Now I can regain my momentum!

This behemoth alternates dropping rocks from the ceiling and sending shockwaves across the ground.

Both can be evaded easily enough!



Slipping in between the attacks, I can hit it in the eye to push it back...

Now to take down this angel armor and move on.



SPIKES AND GEARS AND MONSTERS EVERYWHERE



The gears are, of course, constantly rotating, making them precarious as platforms.

Tricky maneuvering!



And one brush with spikes leaves me in this condition.
