I have felt bad this whole year about generally failing at keeping in touch beyond the boundaries of mass email. Somehow (and not justifiably) reaching out has seemed much harder when I need to reach across an entire ocean's worth of time zones and, in your case, an entire country on top of that. Yeah. For a long time, I thought controlling emotions meant not having emotions. And, of course, it doesn't and that's what makes emotions hard. They're there and they're not bad things to have, really, they're just what they are. I'd say something more useful, but I'm still working on that part.
