Thoughts of a conservative nature...

Since we are at the beginning, let me start. I would wish to make a complaint about so-called liberals in Scotland. Permission to be right-wing Sir. The Scottish version of right wing is roughly in line with the politics of Barack Obama, perhaps somewhere even to the left of that. So, when I tell people I am a fiscal conservative, and my policy ( Read more... )

Stay strong brother. I do pray every night that our Father will keep the lions mouths shut (in every way you can think of).

...the reason they hate us is because they are jealous.

am one of these rare people in Scotland who is a staunch defender of the free market, simply because it allows me to spend my time and money as I choose and as a Christian that should mean that I should serve God with it.

I think I just fell in love with you!

I love the free market economy. There's a reason that America has been so prosperous and I love the freedom that I can make a choice on how to make and spend money!

I fell in love with me a long time ago, you can join the queue at the back :P

In all seriousness I just don't think we should shirk our responsibilities by voting for the government to do it, since money is nessessary freedom from taxes means freedom from government

I've heard that politics over there are quite opposite from us. Right-wing for us is like being a liberal for you all. And Left-wing is like being being conservative there. I could be wrong, but that's what I've heard.

It sounds like people there can be just as cruel and intolerant of conservative thinking belief as they are over here. It really aggravates me, too. And you know what frustrates me even more? Christians who follow in line Obama. It makes me want to smack them upside them the head. But you know what my mom told me--gave me something to think about? Those Christians who are like fall in line with him apparently don't know God's Word as well as they think, they don't have very much of a relationship with Him.

And you know, Obama scares me. I don't believe him to be the anti-Christ, but my goodness, he sure does have a lot of the same characteristics and personality that he will have. And the fact that so many people have fallen for this empty suit scares me. Especially for those Christians!!

right wing and left wing mean exactly the same thing here, the problem is there IS no right wing except for roughly 2 percent of the population who are fascists. So saying that im conservative especially in scotland where 92% of the population vote for left wing parties and the other 8 vote for the moderate conservatives its a ridiculous statement to make.

I dont know think obama fans know the word of God any less they just ignore huge parts of it in order to interperate it wrongly. Still im glad you're a good conservative and if you lived in scotland...;)

It's weird people (your friends!) can't accept the fact that someone has a different opinion.

I'm right wing in some of my views, mostly regarding the security of my country, and the right to defend ourselves.
But left wing regarding the issues individual rights and such...
So I can't always clearly define my political views. Everyone tends to catalog into left and right, while in fact there's many people with "in between" views.

Yeah I would consider myself pretty much right wing on almost everything which is quite strange because I like the ideals of peace and love and working together as a community, I just have different ways of going about it compared to most left wing people. As for the security of your country i'm right behind you :)
