It sounded like a microphone gone wrong...for a minute and then I was tempted to skip..by midway I had made up my mind that is the static you hear at train station...I skipped again and reaching the end..I had to agree with you.

Lou Reed wrote dozens and dozens of lovely songs, rocking songs, mournful songs. His catalog is tremendous. And then there's MMM. Oh, Lou.

I hadn't heard of this concept of just making something bad to get through a contract, thank you for this analysis.

Ah, but isn't anything that can produce a rhythm music. *Endeavors to make music with soup and leather*

You can make music using soup and leather, but they are not in and of themselves music.

I took this class called Trance, Shamanism and Possession a number of years ago. The goal of the class was to come up with workable definitions of these three terms. At the end of the class, over my objections, the class concluded that everyone was in a trance, everyone was a shaman and everyone was possessed. I said that defining those words in that way meant that they no longer had any meaning at all.

Anyhow, this is why I'm no fun at parties. :P

Yes, you're right the making of music is what I meant.

And also saying everyone is a thing does rather hamper the definition. I mean the trance thing may work, cos who's to say what's real, we can only assume what we perceive to be real is, because it's real to us. But the shaman one, how can everyone be a shaman?

I too am no fun at parties :P. Once I was playing charades with a group of people and they decided to have it where it's not teams, everyone just guesses. To which I pointed out that with those rules there's no incentive for the person drawing to draw well as the only outcome is giving other people points so the person drawing might as well draw badly on purpose. I was told that no one would draw badly on purpose because that would make the game 'not fun'.

There are rules to charades for a reason! I would have made the same argument you did. Honestly, games have rules. They're more fun with those rules.

We'll have to have our own party without these rule-breakers!
