I have been steadily doing squares as I get time, and I now only need 6 more light green ones, and I'll be through with that color. I still have a TON to do, but it's getting there! Yay for progress!

get crafty, progress

Well, it's *supposed* to be a b-day present for my sister's 30th birthday in October, but I'm starting to think it may have to be a Christmas gift. We'll see. :)

I have the details at afghan4sis, but what it comes down to is this: I'm doing a full bed-sized afghan using granny squares and 4 colors for a design I created. I only need a few skeins each of 2 of the other colors, but one of the colors requires as many as the one I've done a bunch of (like 84?), so I really need to get my act together.

I've found out in the process of doing this project that she is pregnant and due in Dec/Jan, so maybe it'll be some sort of combo present? Not sure yet. The colors jive with what she wants for the baby, so I may get lucky on that. We'll see.

I love the colors. The main ones are a sort of light teal-ish green and an off-white, both of a super-soft yarn. I've had a lot of fun with it so far - I'm just not fast enough! :)
