Whoa. So not only is Martin Sheen in "The American President", but so is Joshua Malina (aka Will Bailey on "The West Wing") AND Anna Deveare Smith (aka Nancy McNally, kick ass women defense advisor on "The West Wing").
Uncanny? Yes.
EDIT: And let's not forget "Nina Siemaszko", who played daughter Ellie Bartlett on TWW. Craziness!

I'm watching the end of "The American President", in which Martin Sheen is and aide to Micheal Douglas's President, and I was like "oh shit, in just a few years after this, Martin Sheen will BE president". I dunno, it was cool.

Oh, and I'm only Beginning to realize how hard being President of not one but two groups is going to be. Yikes.
