Thought my head might explode.

I have not particularly liked this day. I woke to the lovely sight of trash strewn all over my yard (for the second day in a row, I might add), courtesy of my neighbors' dogs. Apparently, yesterday's quick fix was not successful. I cleaned up everything and blocked off the trash can in a corner, with a large, heavy object in front of it. And they ( Read more... )

sorry you had a horrid day; and I'm glad the docs was close by as well.

I'm still awfully sick here, I went to the docs today too - the flu with a mild case of strep.

here's to both of us feeling better.

Sorry to hear of your cruddy day as well and thank you for the sentiments. I am actually still a little bit sore. It is weird - I still feel all of this tension from the headache in my neck and head. Like I don't really have the migraine anymore, but it is kind of lingering. Like it could come back at any moment..

Anyway, I know these are worn-out remedies which you probably don't need to be told, but try to consume a lot of liquids (always seems to help) and anything you can manage to make yourself eat, though I know it can be difficult to do so with a sore throat.

I hope you feel better soon.

do you have migraine meds? I have some awesome ones and I haven't needed them in forever; I could send some your way.

Yes, I have some. My doc gave me a bunch of free samples, so I would not have to pay for a prescription. :)

Man, migraines suck. guitarfireangel January 22 2005, 04:06:41 UTC
I had a spell, that lasted about 3 months, where I would have 3 migraines a day, and I could time them. One at 11 am, the next at 3 pm, and the last one was at 6pm. It was crazy, and all I could do was sleep... though they said that was actually the culprit. The headaches would wake me up if I was asleep they were so bad. So I stopped sleeping as much, and I lost 10 pounds a week when they put me on OTC vitamins, they still don't know why they do that to me, so I can't take vitamins everyday. Weird huh? Anyway, the point of the long, drawn out story IS that I feel for you. I hope you're feeling better, and congrats on becoming a moderator.. that's freakin awesome. :) Rightfully yours though, cuz you had more posts that Nathan, which I still find amusing. Doesn't take much to amuse me tho... ok, gonna stop now. :) Bye!

I had migraines a lot in high school, and they were usually stress-related, but they were never so bad that I felt like I could not function. This one was like that. It kinda scared me. I felt like I was just going to black out. I was beginning to think that something was seriously wrong with me..

Yes, that is very strange that vitamins would make you lose that much weight, and that you could time your migraines like that. I bet those were pretty hard to deal with. You don't get them anymore though, right?

I actually had not noticed that I have more posts than Nathan. That is pretty funny. Thank you, by the way.

Nah, I don't get them anymore. My nerologist said that they were repetative or something like that... so I was really only having one migraine, but it would just come back, like it never went away. They sucked. But I took something for migraines and they went away just as fast as they came. I tried imitrex, but it made my body go numb... lol. It was like I was REALLY drunk, I couldn't feel anything. I was at my friend's grandparents house and I had to lie down for like 3 hours before I could feel my fingers again. It was weird.

Funny how medication can affect people in such completely different ways. I tried Imitrex before and felt like it did absolutely nothing for me. Now, I usually take Frova.

OOooooOOoOo...baby, I'm sorry. I have migraines, too. :\ It's fortunate that your doctor was so close... I was wondering why you walked right by me and didn't stop to say hello. :P Meanie. Haha. Well, I'm sorry, I yelled to you, but I can understand, now, why you wouldn't have paid me attention. ;) Have a wonderful day. :)

Yea, I did not notice that you yelled at me (which apparently would not be the first time), but I was not very alert that day anyway. Needless to say, I was kind of "out of it". And on most days, I tend to be wearing headphones, so I would be more likely to see you than hear you.
