how it feels to be something on

I’ve always loved buildings and houses. As a kid, I poured over floor plans with unusual interest. I’d make up stories about who would live in such a house or what would be in such a building. hmm... maybe no murals, but you should help me pick out the colors to paint the rooms. you have a much better sense of color than i do.

i also love a house with a lot of rooms -- maybe that's why i have this fascination/love affair with older homes. that and the fact that old(er) houses have so much character and history, like they come with built-in memories.

and isn't it weird how you can just tell a house is empty, even if there are no obvious signs? it's always interesting to me how neglected an empty house seems, even if everything has been neatly kept up.
