Thank you.

It seems that so many people are determined to make their jokes and laugh at the expense of someone that they'll never come close to being - and I'll not be one of them. And I'm so glad to see that I am not the only one.

Certainly. Living outside of California, in small towns and villages, people view people and "that" Hollywoodland world as if they're covered in plastic wrap, I am beginning to realise. It's unreal, surreal and an easy target.

In California, I think people generally have closer emotions toward their celebrities; living so close, running into them in supermarkets, seeing them as people with jobs. Entertainment is a job, just like any other. Some people suck at it, and some are talented and they earn top dollar because they invoke emotion which is what all of us crave: to feel.

but i do scratch my head at those who follow the leader. i poke fun at the empty random celebrity obsessions many seem to have. in califronia, ive literally had it up to here with irrelevance. at least youve established your feelings/ thoughts with substance. and i dont know you as the type and do not think you are the type to discuss and gossip over strangers with glee. but many have just made tired.

No, I don't get my strength from other's downfalls, vindictive rumors or deaths. I am the type when they are alive to laugh, possibly; a bad speech made by Bush, a recognized face being awkward on drugs... I have morbid humor, not understandable at times, but there is an elegance hopefully, to which I follow.

In California the outpouring must be incredible. I miss the community feeling in such a large area. Everyone should wear a white glove for the day.

i had a very similar conversation last night. how it broke my heart that some people have to die knowing what kind of animosity the 'world' has for them. that masturbatory kind of media circus where everyone becomes petty, cruel, slavering children that love to see talented people fall, then tries to backtrack when they realize they've killed someone, and makes them a saint. it angers me that it's acceptable for (what is essentially) baseless hostility to exist in 'culture' when we claim to try and suppress it elsewhere. the worhshipful memories will be just as false, based on subconscious guilt and more of a desire to look charitable than anything else.
