I got the biggest scare out of my whole life tonight. A bat flew in from an open window and was flapping around in my house not 20 minutes ago. I basically froze and watched as it hit the ceiling fan and bounce off the door. Aw, man. That has got to be one of the worst things you have to experience. I'm sorry you had to go through that. It sucks. But, I think you did the right thing.

With wetbird and I working in a Wildlife Shelter, we've had to similar things. It is unfortunate, but neccessary. I'm proud of you for doing what must be done. There was no hope for the bat, if you had brought it into the shelter we would have had to do the same thing.
