on the topic of animations

I've had many many people ask me about how to do animations in icons. Most of my knowledge comes from the lovely mannequinskin, but I've taught myself a few things as well. This tutorial expands to AS3 as well, so you won't be able to do this without an animating program of some kind.

is their anyway to change the snow gif to black? when you screen it it comes out purple. :(

blending options > color overlay > [set color to black] > [set color overlay blend mode to color]

Thanks! I'm having some real issues with the copying thing it's not copying right. I can actually drag the animation over the image but i don't have the blending options in imageready. Is their a way you can still change it to black?

i found the layer blendings. but when i screen it it's like blk and white. I don't understand.

Just be very careful, there's a LOT of pop ups, spyware, and adult ads.

It would work with a larger animation, if you can find one.

Or it would work with the glitter tutorial I've been meaning to write, it wouldn't look like falling snow, just like, the snow is blowing around.
