Just got back from seeing comedian Mark Thomas in Cardiff. He was funny enough to make up for our seats being incredibly uncomfortable and the barman continually getting our drinks wrong

Oh, you were in my town! Sorry about the seats; sounds like a lousy venue. At least it kept fine....

Cardiff itself was rather lovely. I've never been to Cardiff Bay in the evening before. It seemed very exotic and continental. Mind you, I suppose most places seem exotic compared to Taunton.

I don't think we saw the Glee Club at its best. They double-booked our seats and ended up sticking us on some benches at the back.
