First of all, I couldn't agree more about Emma Watson and Michael Gambon. I watched GOF last night and was painfully reminded yet again of what a catastrophical Dumbledore he is. It really ruins the story to have two such important characters be so badly portrayed. Like you said, Dumbledore is supposed to be old and slow and thoughtful and calm and wise and kind, and in the movie he is none of those things. He speaks too quickly, moves too quickly, his voice is too rough and he couldn't do a proper British accent if his life depended on it. He completely fails to convey what an awe-inspiring person Dumbledore really is. Utterly disappointing.

Second of all, I was really disappointed with Tonks. She didn't look anything like I had pictured her in my mind, which was sort of like Tank Girl. And instead she looks like this tall, manly, slightly menacing MTF with long, ugly hair. Ugh.

::cracks up:: You're right about the Tank Girl part, though. It's how it should have been.

Is it just my imagination or doesn't it say in the book that she has short, spiky hair? If so, why change that?
